Edo Couple in Bronze - Male and female bronze couple from the Kingdom of Benin created by the Edo people. 

The Benin Bronzes encompass various forms, including elaborately decorated cast plaques, commemorative heads, human and animal figures, royal regalia, and personal ornaments. They were crafted from at least the 16th century onwards, primarily for the royal court of the Oba (king) and were commissioned for ancestral altars and rituals. These artworks serve as a significant historical record of the Kingdom of Benin.
