"French Kiss," a 1995 romantic comedy directed by Lawrence Kasdan, stars Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline and follows a woman confronting her cheating fiancé in France, only to become entangled with a charming thief. Filmed in Paris and Cannes, the movie received mixed reviews upon its release in the United States on May 5, 1995, but proved to be a commercial success, grossing over $100 million worldwide. It inspired a Hindi remake titled "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha" in 1998 and the Malayalam comedy "Vettam" in 2004.
