The Karen Hill tribe resides in the Mae Rim District of Thailand (they are sometimes referred to as the 'Kariang/Gariang' or 'Kayin') and call themselves 'Pakanyor'. There are 4 major types of Karen; the Sgaw (White Karen), Po (Red Karen), Pa-O and the Kayah. Each sub-group has their own distinct language, customs and costume and are also known as the “long neck” people. This vintage sword was actually used in its prior life. It measures 33” ninth and 2” in width (without the wooden display) and weighs about 5 lbs. with the display. $1,200.00.
