"Seconds," a 1966 psychological horror and science fiction film directed by John Frankenheimer, stars Rock Hudson as a disillusioned New York banker who seeks a new identity through "rebirth" provided by an agency known as "The Company." Based on David Ely's novel, the film was praised for its cinematography by James Wong Howe and was entered into the 1966 Cannes Film Festival. In 2015, it was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry for its cultural and historical significance.
