The Return of a Man Called Horse is a 1976 Western film directed by Irvin Kershner and a sequel to the 1970 film A Man Called Horse. Richard Harris reprises his role as a British aristocrat who has become a member of a Lakota Sioux tribe, with Gale Sondergaard, Geoffrey Lewis, and William Lucking also starring. Like its predecessor, the film was a Mexican-American co-production shot in Mexico, achieving critical and financial success despite some criticism for rehashing earlier plot elements, and was followed by a 1983 sequel, Triumphs of a Man Called Horse.
