The White Helmets is a 2016 British short documentary directed by Orlando von Einsiedel and produced by Joanna Natasegara, depicting the daily efforts of Syria Civil Defence volunteers, known as the White Helmets. It won the Academy Award for Best Documentary (Short Subject) at the 89th Academy Awards. The film showcases the courageous work of three volunteers in Aleppo and throughout Syria, including their training in Turkey.
